Job summary

AdvanSix is seeking an Environmental Leader at the Chesterfield, VA site to oversee environmental programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements while supporting safe, reliable manufacturing operations. You will lead strategy, regulatory relations, and continuous improvement in environmental performance.

The role requires 7+ years of environmental compliance experience at an industrial facility, strong knowledge of pertinent regulations, and leadership for budget,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 7 years of environmental compliance or program management at an industrial facility.
• Experience interacting with regulatory agencies on permitting and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Lead all environmental compliance and permitting activities for the Chesterfield site.
• Oversee air and water permitting, including NSR and VA DEQ programs.
• Manage SPCC, RCRA waste, stormwater, EPCRA and CERCLA compliance programs.
• Develop regulatory strategies, budgets, and cross-functional project support.
• Lead the on-site environmental audit program and corrective actions.
