Job summary

JBS Foods in Colorado is seeking a Lab Technician (Temporary) to collect and run laboratory tests to support EPA and CDPHE compliance and to assure our water treatment system operates efficiently. The role focuses on real-time lab results to guide improvements and requires strong documentation and housekeeping practices.

The candidate must be organized, able to work in a team or independently, and willing to operate heavy equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain Colorado Class C Wastewater certification after 1 year of experience.
• Must have a driver’s license and operate heavy equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• 60% Laboratory operation (sampling and analyzing) for quality and regulatory needs and implementation of changes to the water treatment system.
• 15% Documentation, recordkeeping, data analysis and water treatment co-management.
• 10% Operating heavy equipment (skid steer, dump truck).
• 15% Any other duties as assigned.
