Job summary

Pace Analytical Services LLC in Mansfield, MA seeks a Scientist I to perform hands-on analytical work in our Metals department, contributing to accurate environmental data. You’ll operate ICP-MS, document findings, and support instrument maintenance in a real-world lab setting.

We value a chemistry or biochemistry background, plus the ability to work long shifts in a controlled lab environment and to learn our established protocols quickly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or STEM equivalent.
• Must have 8 chemistry credit hours with labs from college/university.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, standing and PPE use.

Responsibilities

• Operate ICP-MS to analyze environmental samples using established methods.
• Review and interpret results from sample analysis.
• Document procedures, observations, and results; maintain lab records.
• Clean, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
