Job summary

Pace Analytical Services LLC in Greensburg, PA is seeking a Scientist I to join our environmental testing laboratory. You will perform hands-on analysis and help ensure the quality of environmental data that protects communities.

Responsibilities include operating GC, HPLC, ICP, analyzing air, water, and soil samples, documenting procedures, and maintaining instruments. A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related STEM field is required; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other STEM related degrees — or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience working in a laboratory environment and ability to wear PPE.
• Training provided by Pace may be offered to the successful candidate.

Responsibilities

• Work with instruments such as GC, HPLC, ICP and more.
• Analyze air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods.
• Review and interpret the results from the sample analysis.
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality lab records.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
