Job summary

Pace Analytical Services, in Minnesota, is seeking a Scientist to perform hands-on analysis in our environmental testing laboratory. You will work with instruments such as GC, HPLC, and ICP, analyzing air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry methods to ensure data integrity and quality.

Required is a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related STEM field, with the ability to work in a laboratory environment and wear PPE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other STEM field is required or equivalent
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods and wearing PPE (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves) which Pace provides

Responsibilities

• Work with instruments such as GC, HPLC, ICP and more
• Analyze air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods
• Review and interpret the results from the sample analysis
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality laboratory records
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment
