Job summary

The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Water and Waste Management, SRF, Quality Assurance Program, seeks an Environmental Resources Specialist 1 to evaluate laboratory documentation for certification and perform on-site audits.

You will review QAMs, SOPs, PT results, and QA data; travel extensively for multi-day laboratory assessments; enter data into program databases and prepare deposit memos for accounts receivable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or substitution with related environmental experience.
• Experience with laboratory QA/QC concepts and data is desirable.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site laboratory assessments for certification under 47 CSR 32.
• Review QA documentation (QAM, SOP, PT results) and evaluate equipment suitability and personnel qualifications.
• Enter laboratory information into program databases and prepare deposit memoranda for accounts receivable.
