Employee will be assigned to the Division of Water and Waste Management, State Revolving Fund, Quality Assurance Program. At the advanced level and serving as a lead worker, performs complex professional work in a statewide specialty area evaluating documentation associated with the certification process for laboratories.
This evaluation involves the review of Quality Assurance Manuals (QAM), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Proficiency Test (PT) results, equipment suitability, personnel qualifications, laboratory performance data, quality assurance/ quality control (qa/qc) data, and all other associated documents and data.
Employee will perform on-site assessments of laboratories seeking certification under 47csr32. This activity involves extensive travel with many multi-day overnight trips to evaluate laboratories. Will review checklists completed during the on-site audit and write a summary of the evaluation; review applications submitted to the program and enter information into the database used by the program to track laboratory certifications; process checks for certification fees; enter the laboratory information in program database and tracking spreadsheets and prepare deposit memoranda for accounts receivable.
Employee will maintain correspondence with laboratories and adhere to audit schedules; draft guidance for laboratory and regulated community use in complying with state and federal rules and regulations; maintains files, both hard copy and electronic for all activities associated with the certification process for laboratories. Employee will perform other duties as assigned and/or required.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
OR
Additional full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience as described below may substitute for the required training at the rate of one (1) year of experience for every thirty (30) semester hours of training.
AND
Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience in the acquisition, preservation, protection and enhancement of environmental resources, or in environmental protection, or in an agency specific area related to environmental impact.
OR
Graduate coursework from an accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience at the rate of fifteen (15) semester hours of training for every one (1) year of experience.
