Job summary

ALS is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our environmental laboratory operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and the delivery of high-quality analytical services to clients in a fast-paced, high-throughput setting.

You will mentor 50+ staff, drive continuous improvement, manage KPIs, and coordinate with QA, IT, and vendors to keep the facility safe, compliant, and productive while meeting client expectations and contractual deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related science is required.
• Minimum 5 years of laboratory management experience.
• Environmental laboratory experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 17025 and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily laboratory operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely project completion.
• Lead high-throughput production laboratory to meet turnaround time and on-time delivery goals.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 17025, NELAC, DoD, and other regulatory standards.
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase throughput and reliability.
• Manage a team of 50+ laboratory personnel and support staffing, training, and evaluations.
