ALS is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and optimize environmental laboratory operations. You will oversee daily activities, ensure regulatory compliance, manage staff, and drive high-throughput performance while delivering high-quality analytical services to_clients.

You will guide instrument performance, method development, and data interpretation, and collaborate with QA, IT, and client teams to uphold ISO 17025 standards and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science is required.
• Minimum 5 years of laboratory management experience.
• Environmental laboratory experience strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily laboratory operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely project completion.
• Provide technical guidance on instrument troubleshooting, method development, and data interpretation.
• Ensure proper use, calibration, and performance of laboratory instrumentation.
• Support development and implementation of new analytical methods.
• Lead a high-volume production laboratory to meet turnaround time and on-time delivery goals.
• Monitor workflow, sample volume, and resource allocation across departments to maintain throughput.
• Establish, track, and report KPIs including TAT, backlog, capacity and productivity.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Partner with department supervisors to prioritize workload and align with client deadlines.
• Drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
