Job summary

Republic Services Lab/Facility is seeking a Chemist to perform chemical analyses of environmental and hazardous waste using EPA methods and SOPs. The role supports method validation, documentation, and instrument maintenance while maintaining a clean, compliant lab environment.

The candidate should be able to prepare samples, process data, and assist in developing procedures under the Lab Manager. Knowledge of waste protocols and quality standards is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Some knowledge of chemistry principles and practices including analysis and evaluation, and waste processing protocols.

Responsibilities

• Performs preparation techniques and instrumental analysis of environmental samples for organic/inorganic constituents following EPA methods and SOPs.
• Assists in generating SOPs and WI under supervision of Laboratory Manager.
• Prepares samples for laboratory equipment and maintains documentation.
• Performs instrument maintenance, data processing, and method validation (IDOC/DOC).
• Ensures a clean, safe work environment and adheres to QC measures.
