Qualifications

  • Ten years of experience and/or education related to the duties of the position, including five years bench-scale laboratory testing.
  • Ability to evaluate Organic Chemistry procedures, QA/QC, SOPs, detection limit studies, and data to determine validity of results.
  • Clear written and verbal communication of technical and regulatory information to ensure accuracy and defensibility.
  • Expertise in Liquid Chromatography to review documentation and LC/MS/MS data.
  • Attention to detail in reviewing complex documents, data, and records to support accreditation decisions.
  • Sound professional judgment to interpret information, apply policy, and support program goals.
  • Ability to work with colleagues and external partners to maintain consistent accreditation practices.
  • Ability to assess procedures, instrument data, performance results, and demonstrate capability to validate results.

Responsibilities

  • Process initial and renewal applications for laboratory accreditation.
  • Review QA manuals, SOPs, data, and performance testing for accreditation.
  • Make recommendations on laboratory capability to produce valid results.
  • Prepare correspondence and maintain records in the accreditation database.
  • Serve as the LC specialist, reviewing documentation and LC/MS/MS data.
  • Conduct on-site and virtual audits as the organic chemistry specialist on the team.
  • Prepare audit reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Track and verify laboratory compliance with audit findings.
