Job summary

SPL is seeking an Analytical Chemist for its Reading, PA environmental laboratory. You will perform organic analyses with GC-MS and LC-MS/MS, generate defensible test data, and maintain compliance within QA/QC standards. You will contribute to method development, instrument maintenance, and audits while supporting client requirements and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related scientific field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation including GC-MS and LC-MS/MS.
• Experience with QA/QC analysis, data review, root cause analysis, corrective action, and method development.

Responsibilities

• Perform organic analyses using GC-MS, LC-MS/MS and related methods.
• Generate accurate, defensible data in compliance with QA/QC standards and client requirements.
• Document and manage analytical data in LIMS with traceability and regulatory compliance.
• Support method development, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and methods and assist investigations including root cause analysis.
