Job summary
Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is seeking an Environmental Investigator for the Waco Regional Office. You will perform fieldwork in air, water, or waste pollution, conduct inspections, prepare technical reports, and monitor environmental subjects.
Responsibilities include providing technical assistance to the public and regulated community, and assisting with sample collection and analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in natural or physical science, engineering, environmental studies, or related field.
- OR four years of full-time experience in environmental activities directly related to the examples of work performed.
- Transcript or official college transcript or evaluation of foreign credentials may be required per CAPPS.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine technical work in air, water, or waste pollution for the Waco Regional Office.
- Conduct technical inspections, surveys, and follow-up investigations; prepare reports of field activities and observed conditions.
- Conduct environmental monitoring; prepare technical papers on environmental studies.
- Provide technical assistance to the public, regulated community, and other groups regarding regulations.
- Assist with collecting and analyzing environmental samples.
