Job summary

Texas Commission on Environmental Quality is seeking an Environmental Investigator for the Dallas/Fort Worth area. You will perform field-related inspections of air, water, or waste pollution and prepare detailed reports documenting conditions and violations.

You will provide technical assistance to the public and regulated entities, support follow-up investigations, and assist with environmental sampling. This role is based in the North Central and West Texas Division.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in natural/physical science, engineering, environmental studies, or related field.
• Four years of full-time environmental experience related to the described work.
• Transcript or foreign credential evaluation required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine technical work in air, water, or waste pollution for the Dallas/Fort Worth Regional Office.
• Conduct regulatory inspections, surveys, and follow-up investigations; prepare reports with findings and corrective actions.
• Provide technical assistance to the public and regulated community on applicable regulations.
• Assist with collecting and analyzing environmental samples.
