Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in West Palm Beach, FL seeks an entry-level environmental support role to assist field and office staff. You will contribute to environmental compliance activities, conduct site assessments, and perform sampling and hydrogeologic studies as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The position involves supporting remediation system design/installation and O&M, UST assessments, industrial hygiene evaluations, and coordination of laboratory testing.

Qualifications

• 0 years of related experience.
• Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor or Master degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Valid driver's license if driving for ECS subsidiaries.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Dependable, detail-oriented and organized work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Follow directions with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of geotechnical field investigations and testing methods.
• Ability to interpret field data and observations.
• Developing problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Willingness to work in both field and office environments.

Responsibilities

• Performs a combination of field and office work supporting environmental staff
• Assists with environmental compliance activities (e.g., NPDES/spec compliance)
• Conducts environmental site assessments
• Soil, groundwater, and media sampling
• Hydrogeologic studies
• Assists with remediation system design, installation, and O&M
• Underground storage tank (UST) assessments
• Industrial hygiene evaluations
• Supports laboratory coordination and testing
• Attends project meetings and assists with issue resolution
• Assists with proposal preparation and documentation
