Job summary

ECS Group of Companies invites applications for an entry-level environmental engineering support role combining field and office work. The candidate will assist with environmental compliance activities, site assessments, soil and groundwater sampling, and hydrogeologic studies while supporting remediation system work and laboratory coordination.

Qualifications

• 0 years of related experience
• Must be pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
• If driving for ECS, a valid driver's license is required
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Dependable, detail-oriented and organized work ethic
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision
• Working knowledge of geotechnical field investigation and testing methods
• Basic ability to interpret field data and observations
• Developing problem-solving and analytical skills
• Willingness to work in both field and office environments

Responsibilities

• Performs a combination of field and office work supporting environmental staff
• Assists with environmental compliance activities (e.g., NPDES/spec compliance)
• Conducts environmental site assessments
• Conducts soil, groundwater, and media sampling
• Conducts hydrogeologic studies
• Assists with remediation system design, installation, and O&M
• Assists with UST assessments
• Assists with industrial hygiene evaluations
• Supports laboratory coordination and testing
• Attends project meetings and assists with issue resolution
• Assists with proposal preparation and documentation
