Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in New York seeks an environmental student or early-career professional to support field and office activities for environmental staff. The role involves assisting with compliance activities, such as NPDES/spec compliance, and conducting site assessments and sampling.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Willingness to work in both field and office environments

Responsibilities

• Performs a combination of field and office work supporting environmental staff
• Assists with environmental compliance activities (e.g., NPDES/spec compliance)
• Environmental site assessments
• Soil, groundwater, and media sampling
• Hydrogeologic studies
• Remediation system design, installation, and O&M
• Underground storage tank (UST) assessments
• Industrial hygiene evaluations
• Supports laboratory coordination and testing
• Attends project meetings and assists with issue resolution
• Assists with proposal preparation and documentation
