Job summary

ECS Group of Companies, based in the United States, seeks a student intern to assist Environmental Scientists and Project Managers in project delivery. You will support environmental compliance, site investigations, data collection and reporting, with exposure to hydrogeologic and remediation work.

The role involves field and office work, including proposal prep, client deliverables, scheduling, and budgeting support. Compensation offered is $20–$22 per hour.

Qualifications

• 0 years of related experience required.
• Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• If driving for ECS, a valid driver's license is required.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and organized work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of geotechnical field investigation and testing methods.
• Ability to interpret field data and observations.
• Developing problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Willingness to work in both field and office environments.

Responsibilities

• Assists Environmental Scientists and Project Managers in project delivery.
• Supports environmental compliance and assessment activities.
• Performs site investigations and sampling; supports data collection and analysis.
• Engages in hydrogeologic and remediation work as needed.
• Assists with proposal preparation and project planning.
• Supports client deliverables and reporting.
• Provides scheduling support and trainee oversight; assists budgeting and invoicing.
• Participates in project meetings and contributes to execution discussions.
