Job summary

Loureiro Engineering Associates, a multidisciplinary environmental firm, seeks an Environmental Intern to support field investigations, regulatory research, and technical documentation across environmental assessment, remediation, and compliance projects. The role offers hands-on experience alongside scientists and engineers in a collaborative Boston-area setting.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in Environmental Science, Geology, or related engineering programs, with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Qualifications

• Enrollment as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student pursuing a degree in the listed environmental or engineering disciplines.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• OSHA HAZWOPER certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with environmental field investigations and sampling programs (soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, indoor air, soil vapor).
• Support Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and due diligence activities.
• Assist with advancement and documentation of soil borings and groundwater monitoring wells.
• Collect water-level measurements, elevation surveying, and aquifer testing.
• Support remediation projects and operation of remediation systems.
• Prepare technical reports, work plans, and drawings.
• Learn and follow company procedures, health and safety practices.
