Job summary

Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Intern to support our Environmental team.

This paid internship provides hands-on experience in environmental assessment, investigation, remediation, compliance, and engineering projects, working with experienced scientists, geologists, and engineers on real deliverables. Based on your academic background, you may focus on site assessment and investigation or engineering/remediation systems.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or Engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Foundational knowledge in environmental principles.
• Strong computer and technical documentation skills.
• HazWoper certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with environmental field investigations and sampling across soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, indoor air, and soil vapor.
• Support Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and related due diligence activities.
• Assist with soil borings and groundwater monitoring wells.
• Collect water-level measurements and assist with surveying, aquifer testing, and logging.
• Support remediation projects and monitor/maintain systems.
• Prepare technical reports, tables, figures, and drawings.
• Review regulatory requirements and assist with permit applications.
