As an intern you will assist with environmental research, SDS reviews, and regulatory documentation while gaining exposure to our HSE team and company-wide environmental programs.

Qualifications

  • Enrollment as a junior or senior in an undergraduate program in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering.
  • Basic understanding of workplace environmental regulations and regulatory records.
  • Strong MS Office skills and ability to document control.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct general research and data organization for Environmental initiatives.
  • Review and compare written HSE programs.
  • Support maintenance and review of the online SDS system and conduct SDS reviews.
  • Evaluate environmental records such as surface preparation/coating and waste reports.
  • Support Environmental program tracking.
  • Assist in environmental calculations and compliance reporting.
  • Provide administrative and documentation support to Safety and Environmental teams.

Title: Environmental Intern

Location: Mandeville, LA

Position Overview

Bollinger is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Intern for a full-time, on-site summer internship at our Mandeville facility. This opportunity is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field who are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a professional, real-world environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct general research and data organization for Environmental initiatives
  • Review and compare written HSE programs
  • Support maintenance and review of the online SDS system and conduct SDS reviews
  • Evaluate environmental records such as surface preparation/coating and waste reports
  • Support Environmental program tracking
  • Assist in environmental calculations and compliance reporting
  • Provide administrative and documentation support to Safety and Environmental teams
Qualifications
  • Education: Currently a Junior or Senior enrolled in an undergraduate program in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of workplace environmental regulations, familiarity with environmental and compliance documentation, ability to review and organize technical and regulatory records, accurate data entry and basic reporting, attention to detail, basic research skills, document control and version management, ability to interpret and compare written procedures and reports.
  • Soft Skills: Must have basic computer skills using MS Office applications and ability to interact with company personnel.
  • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

This internship offers valuable hands-on experience with our environmental group, allowing students to develop industry-relevant skills, expand their professional network, and contribute meaningfully to Bollinger’s HSE department.
