HDR, an employee-owned firm, invites you to join our Summer 2027 internship in the Resources Business group focusing on Environmental Science. This role emphasizes hands-on project work, collaboration with mentors, and exposure to project management under professional supervision.

As an Environmental Intern, you will contribute to real-world studies while benefiting from HDR’s employee-owned culture and strong emphasis on inclusion and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate environmental science, biology, environmental engineering or related program.
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in real-world experience on exciting projects.
  • Connect with recent college graduates and company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs.
  • Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Join HDR during Summer 2027 for an internship in our Resources Business group focusing on Environmental Science.

Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Environmental Intern, we'll count on you to:

  • Participate in real-world experience on exciting projects
  • Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs
  • Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
  • Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
  • Preference given to local/regional candidates pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or related program during Summer 2027
Required Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate environmental science, biology, environmental Engineering or related program
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
