Environmental Housekeeper, Skilled Nursing Facility

Position Summary

Performs daily activities of the Environmental Services Department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Works under the direction of the Administrator, Director, or Supervisor to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable facility.

Responsibilities

• Cleans resident rooms, hallways, restrooms, corridors, dining rooms, utility rooms, and other areas.
• Washes beds and reports soiled drapes/curtains.
• Replenishes paper and soap supplies.
• Maintains adequate housekeeping supplies and reports needs to supervisor.
• Reports malfunctioning lights and equipment to supervisor.
• Assists with lifting heavy equipment and supplies as needed.
• Cleans work and supply carts, equipment, and ensures proper storage.
• Follows work and cleaning schedules.
• Disposes of refuse daily following sanitation procedures.
• Maintains regular attendance in accordance with policies and standards.
• Adheres to all relevant policies and procedures.

Other Related Functions

• Attends department and staff meetings as directed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, comprehend, read, and write English.
