Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation seeks Environmental Interns/Co-ops in Findlay, OH. You’ll support environmental teams across policies, training, and compliance while gaining hands-on experience in refining and midstream operations.

The program targets students in Environmental Eng., Chemical Eng., or Environmental Science with strong academics, available for 40 hours weekly, on-site, and eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Multiple terms are preferred.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Science.
• Concurrent enrollment for the duration of the internship.
• Strong academic performance.
• On-site 40 hours per week.
• Driver's license for work-related travel.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Available for multiple work terms preferred.
• MIN - $24.09 per hour / MAX - $43.23 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement Company environmental policies and guidelines; develop methods for conformance.
• Provide guidance and technical assistance in organizing programs and procedures, including budget inputs.
• Design or review environmental equipment and systems specifications as required.
• Identify and investigate environmental issues; initiate steps to prevent recurrences and advise management.
• Monitor environmental legislation and regulatory actions; assist with permits as needed.
• Develop environmental information, manuals, training materials, and programs.
