Job summary

The Town of Mansfield/Mansfield Board of Education, CT is seeking a full-time Sanitarian II. This role involves responsibilities such as conducting inspections in food establishments, cosmetology, and temporary food events, in addition to reviewing subsurface sewage disposal plans.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in environmental science or public health and have at least four years of relevant experience. Qualifications

• Four years of experience in environmental health, laboratory work, or related field required.
• Current DPH certification in food service inspection is mandatory.
• Registered Sanitarian license and phase 1 & 2 subsurface sewage certification required at appointment.

Responsibilities

• Perform food establishment inspections.
• Conduct cosmetology inspections and temporary food event inspections.
• Review subsurface sewage disposal plans and perform project inspections.
