Job summary

Amcor is seeking an EH&S Manager to lead safety programs, train staff, and ensure regulatory compliance at our Oregon facility. The role includes incident investigations, contractor safety management, and preparing safety reports.

The ideal candidate will organize training, oversee safety meetings, and support cost budgeting for safety initiatives while aligning with Amcor's safety culture and values.

Qualifications

  • Experience developing and managing safety programs, policies and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations and reporting.
  • Ability to assess hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Experience coordinating safety trainings and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and manage safety programs, policies and procedures.
  • Identify hazardous conditions/actions within the plant and recommend corrective measures.
  • Investigate and prepare presentations for all incidents and property losses.
  • Organize and oversee safety training (forklift, lockout, onboarding, etc.).
  • Provide safety orientation for new employees and manage training matrices.
  • Manage contractor safety program and ensure compliance.
  • Prepare monthly incident summary reports and maintain OSHA 300 log.
  • Support safety mentoring and advise on safety improvements.

And we invest in our world-class team, empowering our colleagues to unpack their potential, because we believe when our people grow, so does our business.To learn more about playing for Team Amcor, visit www.amcor.com I LinkedIn I Glassdoor I Facebook I YouTubeJob DescriptionThe primary duties and responsibilities of the EH&S Manager consist of, but are not limited to, the following:Develop, implement and manage safety programs, policies and procedures.Identify hazardous conditions/actions within the plant and recommend corrective measures.Investigate and prepare presentations for all incidents and property losses.Organize and oversee all required safety training, i.e. fork truck, lockout, new hire onboarding, etc.Provide safety orientation for new employees.Conduct Management of Change on new equipment.Provide Supervisors/Group leaders with safety training information for weekly and monthly safety meetings.Track training to ensure compliance with Training MatrixIdentify gaps in training curriculum by analyzing injury/illness data.Manage the contractor safety program and ensure compliance.Assist inspection personnel from insurance carriers, OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.Manage all federal, state and local environmental permits and ensure compliance.Assist in purchasing appropriate personal protective equipment.Prepare monthly incident summary reports.Supervise maintenance of OSHA 300 log.Supervise safety teams.Support site as safety mentor for visitors.File and maintain SDS sheets.Assist with the administration of the workers compensation program.Recommend and budget for safety capital expenditure items and annual safety budget.Manage all property/casualty insurance claims.Perform any other duties established by the Regional EHS Director.Pay Rate: $70,000 salaryOur ExpectationsWe expect our people to be guided by The Amcor Way and demonstrate our Values every day to enable the business to win.
