Job summary

Amcor LLC is seeking an experienced EHS professional to develop, implement and manage safety programs across our operations. You will conduct audits, investigate incidents, and lead safety training to safeguard employees and assets.

Responsibilities include maintaining OSHA 300/301 logs, coordinating inspections, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. A BS in Industrial Safety and 3–5 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years safety experience in an industrial setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Extensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other regulations.

And we invest in our world-class team, empowering our colleagues to unpack their potential, because we believe when our people grow, so does our business.To learn more about playing for Team Amcor, visit www.amcor.com I LinkedIn I Glassdoor I Facebook I YouTubeJob DescriptionPURPOSETo direct activities relating to all regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.) security workers compensation and property/casualty insurance matters.RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop, implement and manage safety programs, policies and procedures.Conduct audits to identify hazardous conditions/actions within the plant and recommend corrective measures.Oversee Safety concerns reported by employees to ensure completion.Create/review JSA’s/SOPs and work instructions related to safetyLead investigation all incidents and property losses and create associate reportsOrganize and oversee all required safety training, i.e. fork truck, lockout/tag-out, new hire, etc.Provide safety orientation to new employees.Conduct management of change on new equipment.Provide Supervisors/Production shift leads with safety training information for weekly and monthly safety meetings.Track training to ensure compliance with Corporate Regulatory Task Schedule.Identify trends by analyzing injury/illness data and recommend corrective actions.Manage online reporting database for all EHS incidents.Behavior based safety program and corrective and preventative actions.Assist inspection personnel from insurance carriers, OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.Oversee all federal, state and local governmental permits and ensure compliance.Assist in purchasing appropriate personal protective equipment.Prepare weekly/monthly incident summary reports.Maintain of OSHA 300/301 logs. File and maintain SDS sheets.Recommend and budget for safety capital expenditure items.Perform any other duties established by the Plant Manager.Responsible for adhering to and executing the applicable Environmental Health & Safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for all employees according to Amcor, local, state, and federal requirement-regulations.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.EXPERIENCE3-5 Years Safety Experience in an Industrial settingBS Degree in Industrial Safety Management preferred.Excellent written and oral communication skillsStrong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.Extensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other government regulations.Certified in ISO 9001:2015 requiredSQF certified, a plus.Three to five years’ experience in Quality Management, Engineering Management, Production Management and/or Project Management in a 250+ employee manufacturing environment.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, write, understand and communicate in English.SAFETYAdheres to safety policies and procedures in compliance with Amcor’s guidelines.
