Job summary

Find Great People | FGP is seeking a Senior Safety & Environmental Specialist to lead environmental, health, and safety initiatives in a manufacturing setting. You will ensure regulatory compliance, support the Environmental Management System, and drive safety improvements across the facility.

You will conduct audits, maintain documentation, and partner with operations and leadership to train staff, manage hazardous materials programs, and uphold a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in manufacturing EH&S.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance.
• Experience supporting ISO 14001 programs.
• Proficient in regulatory reporting and documentation management.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety and environmental policies, programs, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable state and local regulations.
• Manage ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
• Conduct safety and environmental audits, inspections, and assessments.
• Maintain regulatory records, reporting, permits, and documentation.
• Monitor regulatory changes and recommend actions.
• Coordinate and deliver employee safety and environmental training.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with operations and leadership to mitigate hazards.
• Support chemical management, hazardous materials programs, fire prevention, and waste management.

Requirements:

• Environmental, health, and safety experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting environmental programs in an industrial setting.
• Experience administering or supporting ISO 14001 programs.
• Strong documentation, regulatory reporting, and compliance management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
