Job description

The Site Services Manager will be responsible for developing, executing, and leading improvements to environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure a safe and secure workplace for employees and the products we produce. The role involves leading all aspects of occupational safety, health, and environmental systems, overseeing the management of the Facilities and Maintenance Department, and participating in facility security measures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
2. Identify gaps in existing health, safety, and environmental systems and outline methodologies to eliminate these gaps. Develop, update, and create programs to ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., Job Hazard Analysis, PPE, Lock Out-Tag Out).
3. Ensure all safety training for employees complies with regulations and laws.
4. Manage the completion, distribution, and organization of safety/environmental reports and information.
5. Conduct regular audits of the facility to evaluate equipment, facilities, and procedures. Write audit reports, review findings, and make management recommendations. Investigate and evaluate new safety equipment.
6. Develop and implement training for new procedures and tasks. Prepare and educate employees on Job Safety Analyses.
7. Manage the safety committee, including ongoing training and education for members.
8. Maintain the plant Safety Data Sheets (SDS) program and develop programs that encourage employee participation.
9. Collaborate with the Facilities Coordinator on contractor and vendor safety.
10. Promote safety awareness among all employees.
11. Ensure compliance with customer environmental requirements such as RoHS, REACH, and conflict minerals.
12. Work with the Planning Team to develop and implement environmental targets, goals, and action plans.
