Ocean Spray is hiring for a(n) Corporate Safety Manager! We’re a team of farmers, thinkers, creators, and doers. Position Location: We're all about flexibility. This will be a remote role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA. We are open to remote candidates.

The Corporate Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring safe practices across the manufacturing network. You will host conference calls with network EHS teams, lead EHS audits, and conduct plant visits as necessary. You will collaborate with EHS teams to provide expertise on safety initiatives and develop network goals to improve EHS results for the Cooperative. Additionally, you will communicate safety developments, evaluate system effectiveness, and develop EHS reports for senior management.

A Day in the Life...

  • Lead programmatic improvements to Safety Systems (policies/procedures/equipment/best practices)
  • Organize/host bi-weekly conference calls with EHS Managers/Specialists in the Manufacturing network
  • Organize/host monthly conference calls with Receiving Stations
  • Support the Associate Director, EHS as an Audit Team member for all EHS Audits throughout Ocean Spray
  • Conduct visits throughout the Manufacturing network as a force multiplier (helping to DO the work)
  • Coach EHS Managers and Specialists in leading safety and getting work done efficiently/effectively
  • Assist Plants/Receiving Stations with conducting hazard assessments, root cause analyses
  • Act as the vocal voice of Safety through internal outlets
  • Evaluate reporting metrics (proactive measures/Near Misses/injuries) to measure weaknesses in safety systems, target risk reduction efforts and promote best practices in influencing improvements to our program
  • Evaluate and assist EHS Managers/Specialists with injuries/Near Misses/Property damage incidents and communicate findings/lessons learned
  • Plan all logistics/agenda in support of the annual EHS Summit
  • Draft monthly corporate safety reports/MBO Status Report/safety portion of FoodNet & BevNet scorecards
  • Assist with the development of EH&S Network Goals/MBO’s and measurements
  • Brief senior manufacturing leadership on Safety Goals/challenges during Quarterly EH&S Council meetings
  • Provide formalized direct mentorship to the members of the EHS Network with the goal of their obtaining professional Safety-related certifications (CSP, ASP, OHST).
  • Provide direct support to Plants/Stations in their pursuit/maintenance of certification as an OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Site, or country/province equivalent (Chile/Quebec/British Columbia)

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required with 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of safety requirements
  • Eligible to be certified as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) within one year of employment
  • Excellent Project management, Interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Organizational skills and experience hosting/organizing team or group meetings and calls
  • Proven experience with Leadership, Financial Acumen, Judgement & decision making
  • Prior experience with audits, hazard assessments and root cause analysis

Education:

Bachelor's or University Degree (Required)

At least 7 Years of Experience

Annual Salary:

$102,200 - $140,500
