Job summary

Goodyear is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety programs. This role provides governance across multiple locations to sustain a hazard-free, safety-focused culture.

You will develop EHS protocols, oversee incident investigations, and liaise with corporate EHS while ensuring regulatory compliance and proper permitting for environmental laws across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 7+ years in an EHS-related role across multi-location environments.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs.
  • Ability to measure EHS plan effectiveness and adjust tactics accordingly.

Responsibilities

  • Develop EHS protocols and training to eliminate at-risk behavior and ensure environmental compliance.
  • Manage the incident investigation process for EHS events, including initial notification, preliminary investigation, documentation, and reporting.
  • Act as liaison to corporate EHS through ongoing communication, collaboration, and reporting.
  • Ensure centers are properly permitted under applicable environmental laws, including tire storage/disposal and chemical usage.
  • Oversee emissions testing and ensure retread plants comply with environmental regulations.
  • Establish waste disposal practices.
  • Design and implement hazardous spill prevention and response plans for each location.

Job description

As a EHS Manager you will provide environmental, health, and safety leadership to develop and sustain a hazard-free work environment and promote a comprehensive safety culture. Deliver the necessary training and field support to ensure compliance with EHS requirements throughout the organization. Oversee the incident investigation process for all CTSC locations. Act as the subject matter expert for environmental regulations and compliance. Establish processes and procedures to ensure compliance with all appropriate environmental regulations. Ensure alignment of EHS initiatives and overall business objectives.What you'll doDevelop EHS protocol and implement related training to eliminate at-risk behavior and ensure compliance to environmental standards.Manage the incident investigation process for EHS events: receive initial notification of incident, conduct preliminary investigation, ensure proper documentation, and complete necessary reporting.Act as a liaison to corporate EHS through ongoing communication, collaboration, and reporting.Ensure centers are appropriately permitted for applicable environmental laws, tire storage/disposal, and chemical usage. Oversee the testing of emissions and ensure retread plants comply with environmental regulations.Establish practices for the proper disposal of waste streams. Design and implement hazardous spill prevention/response plans for each location.What We’re Looking ForBachelor's Degree.7 or more years of experience in an EHS-related field, preferably in a manufacturing and/or service environment with multiple locations across a multi-state geography. Experience must include developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs. Additionally, experience is needed in measuring EHS plan efficacy and the ability to adjust tactics to achieve results.What Will Set You ApartStrong knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS requirements (OSHA, MSHA, EPA, etc.).
