- Comply with all MSHA standards as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS programs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety and environmental programs, policies, and processes to protect employees and ensure compliance with government regulations.
- Manage strategic EHS plans for the site.
- Conduct internal safety audits to assess compliance with MSHA, EPA, NIOSH, ISO 14001, and 45001 regulations.
- Prepare reports on audit findings, outlining deficiencies and corrective actions, and support external audits.
- Identify and address training needs to enhance the effectiveness of established safety and environmental systems.
- Recommend and implement changes in EHS policies, procedures, and business plans while contributing to functional projects.
- Oversee facility EHS planning, including goal setting, prioritization, compliance needs, and budget planning for capital and operating expenses.
- Maintain a compliance plan to ensure adherence to regulatory and company requirements.
- Keep accurate records, data, and other EHS-related documentation to meet legal and company standards.
- Provide training and information to employees as needed to fulfill regulatory EHS requirements.
- Facilitate the development and annual review of EHS policies, procedures, and initiatives to strengthen the safety culture.
- Perform and/or coordinate plant monitoring activities (e.g., noise, chemical exposure) to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate and support environmental compliance efforts, including emissions control and waste disposal.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Proficiency in computer-based applications, including databases, spreadsheets, word processing, and presentations.
- Experience implementing critical safe work programs and practices.
- Strong understanding of EHS codes, standards, and regulations.
- Experience interacting with EHS-related regulatory agencies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, achieve business objectives, and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional listening, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
- Attention to detail.
- Proficient knowledge of compliance and regulations related to MSHA, EPA, NIOSH, ISO 14001, and 45001.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, walk, and stand intermittently for 8+ hours per day.
- Ability to work off-shift, holidays, and overtime as required by the company or in response to incidents.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Education and Experience
- Degree in EHS, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
- Preferred certifications: MSHA Certified Instructor, Certified Safety Professional, Industrial Hygienist, Hazardous Materials Manager, etc.
- Minimum of 3+ years of EHS management or related experience.
