Job summary

Corning is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety professional to promote a safe and compliant work environment across a manufacturing facility. You will mentor teams, lead ISO 14001/45001 initiatives, and maintain SDS systems while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and corporate requirements.

Responsibilities include developing policies, coordinating training, managing hazardous waste programs, and driving continuous improvement in safety performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Engineering or Environmental and Safety.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a safety role within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Proven track record of improving processes and working on teams to influence others.
  • Project Management principles and managing project costs.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and communicate Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) programs and policies.
  • Develop and work towards Corporate EHS policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Maintain SDS system and training for new materials and products.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements prior to onsite work.
  • Lead ISO 14001/45001 programs and audits.
  • Coordinate reporting, tracking, and trend analysis of EHS metrics.
  • Mentor and coach subject matter experts on safety programs.
  • Respond to EH&S emergencies and investigate incidents.
