Job summary

Pretium Packaging in Aurora, Illinois, seeks an on-site Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to partner with operations, maintenance, engineering and leadership to ensure safe work practices and strengthen safety culture. The role offers hands-on leadership of safety initiatives, compliance, and environmental programs within a dynamic manufacturing setting.

You will lead safety audits, incident investigations, regulatory reporting, and training programs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in EHS, safety, environmental science, or related field preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred; professional safety certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain the EHS program in compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across manufacturing operations.
• Investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses to determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain OSHA logs, safety documentation, and compliance records.
• Deliver safety training including Lockout/Tagout, PPE and hazard communication; engage employees in safety initiatives.
