Checon, LLC, a division of Alloy Holdings, LLC is currently recruiting for an EH&S Coordinator at our North Attleboro, MA or Glens Falls, NY location. This position will be responsible for supporting safety across all our facilities.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized EH&S Coordinator to support our environmental, health, and safety initiatives. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining safety and environmental policies, coordinating employee training, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations. This role will work closely with the Environmental Health & Safety Manager and plant personnel to promote a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.

Safety & Health Support:

  1. Assist in ensuring compliance with safety policies and OSHA regulations, including Hazard Communication, Personal Protective Equipment, Lockout/Tagout, Forklift Safety, and Fire Safety.
  2. Coordinate and schedule safety training programs for new and existing employees.
  3. Support employee involvement in safety initiatives and assist with site safety committees.
  4. Maintain safety records and assist in tracking safety metrics for reporting purposes.
  5. Assist in investigating workplace injuries and incidents, documenting findings, and supporting corrective action implementation.
  6. Support the reporting of workplace injuries to workers' compensation insurance and coordinate employee medical treatment as needed.
  7. Help coordinate plant safety audits and follow up on corrective actions.
  8. Assist in preparing required safety reports, including OSHA Injury and Illness Record-keeping (300 Summary Form).
  9. Assist in maintaining compliance with environmental regulations, including waste management, air emissions, and water discharge monitoring.
  10. Support hazardous waste handling and disposal processes, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
  11. Help track and maintain environmental records, permits, and reporting requirements.
  12. Assist in coordinating environmental training programs for employees.
  13. Support site inspections and audits related to environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.
  14. Assist in preparing regulatory reports, such as Tier II and TRI reporting.

Requirements:

  1. Associate's degree or relevant safety/environmental training preferred.
  2. 1–3 years of experience in an EH&S-related role.
  3. Basic understanding of OSHA and environmental regulations.
  4. Strong organizational and communication skills.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively with employees and management.
  6. Willingness to travel occasionally to multiple sites.
