Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in HR, Admin, Safety, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years in HR, GA, EHS or administrative support.
  • Experience in manufacturing/industrial/service environment preferred.
  • Strong communication and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work with employees at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • HR Coordination: act as local HR representative for Houston Service Shop and support Houston Sales Office.
  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation and offboarding activities including exit interviews and terminations.
  • Assist HR with recruitment activities, interview scheduling, and candidate coordination.
  • Respond to HR inquiries and coordinate with Headquarters; support employee relations and investigations.
  • Support Workplace Violence Prevention Plan documentation, reporting and follow‑up.

Job description

The HR & EHS Coordinator is responsible for providing on-site support for Human Resources (HR), General Affairs (GA), and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) functions at the Houston Service Shop (HSS) and supports the Houston Sales Office as needed, Closely With HR & GA and EHS personnel at Headquarters, this position coordinates and supports the implementation of company policies, programs, and procedures while providing day-to-day support to employees and management. This position Serves as the primary local coordinator for HR. GA, and EHS activities at HSS and Houston Sales Office and assists in maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment through effective communication, coordination, and administration. This position provides an opportunity to develop knowledge and skills across HR, GA and EHS functions while supporting the daily operations of the Texas locations.

Functions and Duties
  • HR Coordination Serve as the local HR representative for the Houston Service Shop and provide HR support to the Houston Sales Office as needed.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation and employee offboarding activities, including exit interviews and termination meetings.
  • Assist HR with recruitment activities, interview scheduling, and candidate coordination.
  • Respond to employee HR inquiries and coordinate With Headquarters as appropriate, coordinate required employee training Support employee relations matters and workplace investigations under the direction of HR from Headquarters.
  • Support implementation of the Workplace Violence Prevention Plan, including documentation, reportinz, and follow-up activities.
  • EHS Coordination Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and safety observations, Develop, coordinate, and conduct required EHS training. (i.e., Forklift, Crane, LOTO, HazCom, etc,)
  • Assist With accident, injury, near-miss investigations.
  • Maintain local EHS documentation and records.
  • Track corrective actions and follow up on completion.
  • Assist With development Of written safety programs and policies. Support OSHA compliance and implementation of corporate EHS programs and policies. Coordinate annual and semi-annual inspections of fire alarms, sprinklers, backflows, and fire extinguishers.
  • Coordinate emergency drills and participate in safety committee activities.
  • Promote safe practices throughout the Service Shop.
  • GA Administration Coordinate conference room scheduling and meeting arrangements. Coordinate the issuance of employee and Visitor badges and facility
  • Order Office and facility supply and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Coordinate local vendors and facility service providers. provide general Office support to efficient day-to-day
  • Compliance & Reporting Prepare reports and maintain HR. GA, and EHS records.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Maintain confidentiality Of and company information.
  • Support compliance with company policies and applicable federal, State, and local regulations.
  • Administrative Support & Special Projects Assist with special projects assigned by Corporate General Affairs, or EHS_ Support continuous improvement initiatives. Coordinate cross-functional activities between Headquarters, the Houston Service Shop, and the Houston Sales Office.
Qualifications and Competencies
  • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in Human Resources, General Affairs, Environmental Health & Safety, administrative suprX'rt, or a related operational support role.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or service environment is preferred. Experience coordinating multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of Human Resources principles and employment practices.
  • Basic knowledge of workplace safety practices and OSHA requirements.
  • Strong and time management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication Skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining close communication with Headquarters.
Preferred Qualifications and Competencies
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field.
  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR. OSHA Io-Hour Or OSHA 30-HOur certification. Experience supporting HR or EHS functions in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting multiple business locations, Experience with HRIS, learning management systems, or safety management systems
