Job summary

State of Maryland's Talbot County Health Department seeks a full-time Environmental Health Specialist Program Supervisor to promote environmental health and enforce state and local laws in Easton, MD.

The role oversees delegated programs such as Well Program, Land Development, OSDS, Building Permits, and Open Burning, coordinating with the Office of Environmental Health to protect public health.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current license as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) from the Maryland Board.
• Three years of inspections/investigations experience with at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
• Master of Public Health or Master of Science may substitute one year of required experience for the minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Promote environmental health and enforce state and local environmental health laws and regulations.
• Monitor and engage with delegated programs (Well Program, Land Development, On-Site Sewage Disposal Systems, Building Permits, Open Burning).
• Coordinate with Talbot County Health Department's Office of Environmental Health to implement programs.
