Job summary

The role requires a relevant public health degree, supervisory experience, and ability to travel within Brevard County. Strong knowledge of environmental health regulations and MS Office is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, environmental health, environmental science, or physical/biological science as required by statute.
• Certified Environmental Health Professional on Onsite Sewage is required.
• Ability to travel up to 100+ miles in Brevard County as needed.
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and endure extreme weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Environmental Supervisors, Specialists, Fiscal Assistants and Senior Clerks in the Onsite Sewage Program.
• Promote and protect public health.
• Train and direct staff; conduct on-site quality control inspections.
• Prepare reports on program compliance and staff work products.
• Understand and apply environmental health regulations and policies.
