Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering, Physical or Natural Science (or higher).
• Registered Environmental Health Professional (REHP/RESH) or DOH certification preferred.
• Ability to supervise and manage employee performance.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting systems, and Florida statutes.
• Proficiency with computers and database systems (HMS, Environmental Health database).
• Must be physically present in the office.

Responsible for administering state and county permitting systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing environmental health laboratory operations and harmful algal bloom monitoring.

Key qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physical or Natural Science (or Master's/Doctorate)
• Registered Environmental Health Professional (R.E.H.P., R.E.H.S.) or Certified Onsite Sewage Treatment and Disposal by Florida Department of Health
