Florida Department of Health is seeking an Environmental Specialist I in Viera, FL. The role conducts septic system inspections, field evaluations, and enforcement actions while managing data entry and support for public health programs.

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in public health or related science, be able to lift 50 pounds, and travel extensively within Brevard County. Certification in Onsite Sewage within 6 months is required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours or 40 quarter hours in public health or sciences.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and travel up to 100+ miles per day.
• Must obtain Onsite Sewage certification within 6 months of hire.
• Must have a valid driver's license and work outdoors in all weather.

Responsabilidades

• Conducts inspections of septic systems and ATUs.
• Issues enforcement action for non-compliant properties.
• Writes and issues septic system permits.
• Reviews septic system applications.
• Operates 4-wheel drive vehicles and uses field measuring devices.
