Florida Department of Health seeks an Environmental Specialist II to inspect facilities, perform risk assessments and enforce health regulations. Based in Daytona Beach, you will spend most days in the community, conducting inspections across pools, food facilities and other programs, with office time for reporting.

The role involves outdoor work, reporting, and interaction with the public; a BS in a relevant field and a valid driver’s license required, plus regulatory credentials or eligibility.

Qualificações

• Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in a Public Health, Environmental Health, Natural or Physical Science.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Must be able to work 40 hours a week and have a valid driver's license.
• Must have use of a reliable private vehicle and be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be a Certified Environmental Health Professional in the Food program or a RS/REHP.
• Experience with inspections, reporting and community outreach is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct EH inspections and risk assessments across multiple programs.
• Enter findings into the EH database and prepare reports in a timely manner.
• Interact with the public and work primarily in outdoor settings.
• Assist with emergencies and participate in team meetings and special projects.
