Job Summary:
We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented individual to lead our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and understanding about OSHA, DHEC, and other safety and environmental agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
· Organize and lead regular safety meetings with plant employees.
· Check the workplace for safety issues and correct them.
· Implement EHS audit regarding comprehensive environmental, health and safety issues.
· Investigate workplace incident/accidents using root-cause analysis reporting.
· Work with external agencies and inspectors on corrective and preventative actions.
· Keep track of injury reports and OSHA 300 Logs.
· Make sure Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are up to date for all materials.
· Answer survey requests from OSHA, DHEC, and company headquarters.
· Report on the status of hazardous chemicals and toxic releases to the appropriate federal agencies.
· Stay on top of safety and environmental laws and make sure they are followed.
· Renew and maintain air and storm water permits through DHEC.
· Follow up EHS contractor’s activities in regard to sampling, monitoring, and analysis reporting.
· Acquire and maintain ISO 14001:2015 certification.
What You Need:
· Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Safety, Engineering, or a similar field.
· At least 3 years of experience in safety or environmental work, especially in a factory or industrial setting.
· Good understanding of OSHA, DHEC, and other safety rules.
· Strong communication and leadership skills.
· Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
