Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety candidate for a Dalton, GA-based opportunity. The role focuses on incident investigation, compliance documentation, and fostering safe work practices across the facility.

You will collaborate with management to implement safety policies, conduct training, and support emergency preparedness while ensuring adherence to OSHA regulations and environmental standards.

Environmental Health and Safety

Automation Personnel Services is looking for an Environmental Health and Safety candidate for a company based in Dalton, GA. In this role you will have the opportunity to work for a company that values safety and takes pride in environmental stewardship with a "green thumb" mindset.

Pay Rate

Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Friday, 8 00 am to 5 00 pm.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, document findings and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain safety records, reports, permits, and compliance documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce safe work practices throughout the facility.
• Assist with emergency preparedness, evacuation drills, and incident response activities.
• Collaborate with management and employees to develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Previous experience in Environmental Health & Safety, manufacturing, warehousing, or an industrial environment required.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety standards, and environmental compliance practices.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to train and interact with employees at all levels.
• Employment is contingent upon successfully meeting all background screening and compliance requirements.

Job Type

Full-time, long-term temporary, full benefits after year of service
