Job summary

Superior Aluminum Alloys in Indiana seeks a hands-on maintenance specialist to maintain the exterior plant and assist with environmental regulatory tasks. The role focuses on grounds, road cleaning, trash collection, and snow removal as needed, with a strong emphasis on safe practices and proactive problem solving.

You will work outdoors year-round, obtain required mobile equipment certifications, complete annual environmental training, and collaborate with contractors to meet program goals

Qualifications

• 100% Engagement in Take Control of Safety.
• Self-motivation, able to work productively with minimal direct oversight.
• Must become certified to operate a variety of mobile equipment.
• Must complete annual environmental training.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including off hours snow removal.

Responsibilities

• Exterior plant / site maintenance including grounds mowing landscaping fence upkeep, road cleaning, trash collection, and snow removal as needed.
• Support environmental compliance with regulations and projects such as air testing, stormwater/wastewater inspections, SPCC tank inspections, recycling/waste management, radiation detector maintenance, and spill response.
• Monitor and coordinate with contractors to achieve program goals through safe working practices.

Superior Aluminum Alloys

Upkeep and continuous improvement of the entire plant exterior site and assist with routine environmental regulations and compliance projects - such as air, stormwater, wastewater, and material monitoring & response.

• Exterior plant / site maintenance including but not limited to
  • Grounds maintenance mowing / landscaping / fence upkeep
  • Road cleaning
  • Trash collection
  • Snow removal (may require some nights / weekends)
• Environmental assistance with regulations and projects such as
  • Air compliance testing
  • Stormwater/Wastewater maintenance & inspections
  • SPCC tank inspections & maintenance
  • Recycling & waste stream coordination / management
  • Radiation detector maintenance & calibrations
  • Spill response
• Other related tasks as needed
  • Monitor and work with contractors to achieve program goals through safe working practices.

Required
