Job summary

Superior Aluminum Alloys in Indiana seeks a dedicated exterior maintenance professional to support outdoor areas and assist with environmental compliance projects.

You will perform grounds upkeep, road cleaning, trash collection, and seasonal snow removal, and help with air, stormwater, wastewater inspections, SPCC, spill response, and coordination with contractors to meet safety goals.

Qualifications

• 100% Engagement in Take Control of Safety.
• Self-motivation with minimal oversight.
• Must become certified to operate mobile equipment.
• Must complete annual environmental training.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather, including snow removal.

Responsibilities

• Exterior plant/site maintenance: grounds, roads, trash collection.
• Snow removal, potentially nights/weekends.
• Assist with environmental regs: air, stormwater, wastewater testing and inspections.
• SPCC tank inspections and maintenance; spill response.
• Coordinate with contractors to meet program goals using safe practices.

Overview

Upkeep and continuous improvement of the entire plant exterior site and assist with routine environmental regulations and compliance projects - such as air, stormwater, wastewater, and material monitoring & response.

Responsibilities

• • Exterior plant / site maintenance including but not limited to:
    • Grounds maintenance: mowing / landscaping / fence upkeep
    • Road cleaning
    • Trash collection
    • Snow removal (may require some nights / weekends)
  • Environmental assistance with regulations and projects such as:
    • Air compliance testing
    • Stormwater/Wastewater maintenance & inspections
    • SPCC tank inspections & maintenance
    • Recycling & waste stream coordination / management
    • Radiation detector maintenance & calibrations
    • Spill response
  • Other related tasks as needed
    • Monitor and work with contractors to achieve program goals through safe working practices.

Qualifications

Required

• 100% Engagement in Take Control of Safety
• Self-motivation, able to work productively with minimal direct oversight
• Must become certified to operate a variety of mobile equipment
• Must complete annual environmental training
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including off hours snow removal

Preferred

• Heavy equipment experience
• Landscaping / snow removal experience
• Mechanical skills with light equipment maintenance experience
