Job summary

Steel Dynamics, Inc. subsidiary Superior Aluminum Alloys seeks a detail‑oriented facilities technician responsible for exterior site maintenance and environmental compliance support.

You will perform grounds care, road cleaning, trash collection, and snow removal, while assisting with air, stormwater, and wastewater programs. You will coordinate with contractors, manage recycling and waste streams, maintain radiation detectors, and ensure safe practices to hit program goals.

Qualifications

• 100% Engagement in Take Control of Safety.
• Self-motivation; able to work productively with minimal direct oversight.
• Must become certified to operate a variety of mobile equipment.
• Must complete annual environmental training.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including off hours snow removal.

Responsibilities

• Exterior plant/site maintenance including grounds upkeep, road cleaning, trash collection, and snow removal.
• Environmental assistance with regulations and projects: air compliance testing, stormwater/wastewater maintenance and inspections, SPCC tank inspections.
• Recycling and waste stream coordination / management.
• Radiation detector maintenance and calibrations.
• Monitor and work with contractors to achieve program goals through safe working practices.
