Job summary

The State of Utah, through the Utah Division of Air Quality, seeks a Grant Program Manager to own core grant programs, ensuring effective use of public resources for measurable environmental benefits across Utah. The role requires autonomous leadership, compliance discipline, and collaboration with government and community partners.

This time-limited position (through 2029) offers hybrid work and potential conversion based on funding and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years experience administering grant programs and managing the full grant lifecycle.
• Experience with grant program development, implementation, oversight, and continuous program improvement.
• Experience with financial management, including budget oversight, expenditure tracking, financial reporting, and implementation of appropriate financial controls.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and competing priorities simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, present information clearly, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of grant programs, including development, implementation, monitoring, and closeout activities.
• Coordinate with partners, government agencies, private organizations, and community partners to support program delivery.
• Manage program performance through data tracking, monitoring, analysis, and reporting to stakeholders and leadership.
• Work collaboratively in dynamic teams and adapt to changing priorities and program needs.
• Interpret program requirements and develop effective implementation strategies to support outcomes.
• Take initiative and proactively advance projects forward.
• Conduct outreach and stakeholder communication to increase program participation.
