AECOM is seeking an Environment Geologist in the Germantown, MD area to support environmental projects, including RI/SA activities for Federal, State, or private clients. The role requires at least 2 years of post-graduate experience and a Geology degree, with a valid US driver’s license and US citizenship.

The position is hybrid in location and involves field work nationwide, coordination of field investigations, safety oversight, and collaboration with project managers and subcontractors.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related science is required.
• 2+ years of post-graduation environmental consulting experience (RI/SA) for Federal, State, or private clients.
• Must have a valid US driver’s license.
• US citizenship is required; sponsorship will not be available.
• Willingness to travel nationwide; field work is required.

Mansioni

• Manage tasks as part of larger projects.
• Plan and lead complex field investigation programs including drilling, borehole logging, well installation, groundwater monitoring, and remedial activities.
• Provide technical direction and safety oversight to a multi-disciplinary team on large field investigations.
• Oversee drilling subcontractors during logging and monitoring well construction.
• Collect soil, groundwater, surface water, and sediment samples and prepare them for shipping with proper chain-of-custody.
• Write technical planning documents and reports with junior staff support.
• Assist with proposal writing and cost estimating.
• Coordinate with procurement to hire subcontractors and manage their services.
• Assist with permits and access agreements with public agencies and stakeholders.
• Interact with clients and develop relationships through technical work.
