Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced geologist for the Washington, D.C. region to provide technical and management support on environmental projects, including Remedial Investigations and Site Assessments, primarily for Federal clients.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in environmental consulting, a Bachelor’s degree in Geology, and the ability to lead junior staff while working independently. This full-time role involves field work, team leadership, and collaboration with federal and private

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related science.
• 4+ years of post-graduation relevant environmental consulting experience for Federal, State, or private clients.
• Must have a valid US driver’s license.
• US citizenship is required. Sponsorship will not be available.

Responsibilities

• Manage tasks as part of larger projects.
• Write technical planning documents and reports with the support of more junior staff.
• Assist project manager with proposal writing and cost estimating.
• Interact with federal and private clients. Develop client relationships through technical work.
• Assist with planning and implementation of remedial actions and field investigations.
