Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Geologist to support the Environmental business line, primarily on Federal projects. The position involves extensive fieldwork, sample collection, and coordination with subcontractors and project managers across the US.

The candidate will apply scientific principles to problem-solving, develop technical documents, and travel to various job sites as needed. A background in geology and regulatory knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related discipline with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background checks.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to pass MVR checks.

Responsibilities

• Fieldwork 90–100% of the time.
• Collect samples of soil, groundwater, soil vapor, surface water and sediments; prepare samples and maintain chain of custody.
• Oversee subcontractors and laboratories; coordinate with project managers.
• Prepare basic data and technical documents; contribute to technical reports.
